Welding Instructor

The Thrive Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Trainer to join our team. As a Welding Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding training programs that equip students, apprentices, and employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the welding industry.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct Theoretical and Practical Welding Training Sessions: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that cover various welding techniques and safety practices.
- Evaluate Trainees' Performance: Assess trainees' welding skills through tests and hands-on evaluations, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Maintain and Set Up Welding Equipment: Ensure all welding equipment is in good working condition, performing routine checks and maintenance.
- Track and Document Trainees' Progress: Monitor and record trainees' attendance, progress, and performance.
- Provide Feedback and Support: Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, providing guidance and support to trainees.
- Ensure a Safe and Well-Organized Training Facility: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized training facility, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Certified Welder: Possess recognized certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with proficiency in various techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding.
- Experience in Training or Teaching: Have experience in training or teaching, preferably in a welding-related field.
- In-Depth Knowledge of Welding Processes: Possess in-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong Understanding of Welding Safety Standards: Have a strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively teaching and providing feedback.
- Ability to Foster a Supportive Learning Environment: Demonstrate the ability to foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills for managing training schedules, records, and equipment.
- Assessor Award: Possess an Assessor Award or be willing to work towards it.
- Knowledge of Current Apprentice Standards: Have knowledge of current apprentice standards.
