The Role
We're looking for a skilled Bus Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and carrying out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and specifying the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable.
- Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carrying out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent.
- The ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- A PCV licence is desirable, but the ability to obtain one is essential (we'll support you in this).
- Experience working with buses and coaches is an advantage.
- A basic electrical understanding.
