About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Tax Advisor to join our dedicated tax team at a reputable firm in the South-East. As a Tax Advisor, you will have the opportunity to provide tax advice across a wide variety of sectors and taxes, liaising with HMRC, drafting reports and letters of advice, preparing calculations, and providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising and corresponding with HMRC regarding clearance applications, enquiries, etc.
  • Drafting reports and letters of advice for various tax advisory issues
  • Preparing calculations to support advice
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
  • Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
  • Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
Examples of Work
  • Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
  • Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
  • Preparation of research & development claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns
  • Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation
