We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Breast and Endocrine Surgeon to join our established Breast, Endocrine, Skin and Sarcoma Unit at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The appointee will be required to deliver a comprehensive specialist breast and endocrine surgical service across both hospital sites. This is an established full time post which has become vacant due to retirement and attracts 10 Programmed Activities per week.

About the Unit

Our Breast Unit provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic breast services and treats over 700 new breast cancers per year. The Endocrine Unit is the regional centre for parathyroid surgery, currently undertaking about 100 parathyroid cases per year. Thyroid cases number about 70 per year with a further 50 undertaken by ENT. There is a well-established, regional Thyroid and Endocrine MDT.

What We Offer

This means that some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or long term. The appointment is for a full time Consultant Breast and Endocrine Surgeon to work in the established Breast, Endocrine, Skin and Sarcoma Surgery Unit at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
