About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing subcontract works packages, negotiating terms and prices, and producing commercial notices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage subcontract works packages and change management
  • Produce and issue commercial notices as required
  • Produce monthly applications, reports, and cost value reconciliations
  • Maintain detailed cost plans and interpret expenditure reports
  • Attend progress and risk reduction meetings
  • Maximize value and profit while ensuring compliance
  • Assist estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise
Requirements
  • Appreciation of standard contract forms
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of construction processes, NEC/Option C experience
  • Experience in a Civil Engineering Environment
  • Professional qualifications such as MCIOB or MRICS
  • Experience with main contracts, time management skills, and CSCS certification
