About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Yeovil. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering within any given area of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive overall product and process improvements as well as product integrity on existing products.
  • Support the development and introduction of new products in line with Honeywell IPDS 2.0.
  • Drive and deliver any prototypes for process or design validation, as qualification hardware.
  • Get back to standard any defect issues in a prompt manner.
  • Lead and coordinate cell manufacturing activities between Product Engineers, Operations, ME, and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team.
  • Plan, deploy, monitor, and control site-level improvement initiatives to drive Productivity (and includes Machining programme writing and verification and fixturing design).
  • Support customer and supplier communications to improve product quality and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Technical expert for products manufactured and processes within their cell(s).
  • Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within mechanical/electrical/manufacturing.
  • Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience of PFMEA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

This position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of export control licenses and technical assistant agreements. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
