Procurement Category Manager
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dynamic Category Manager to lead our supply and stock management efforts. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, managing stock levels, and driving continuous performance improvements.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and prepare competitive quotations for the sales team.
* Manage the SAP-MRP system to ensure stock availability meets customer demand.
* Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and book deliveries accordingly.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, and NPD teams to drive business growth.
* Manage a spend of approximately £10 million, with a stock holding for this category of £1 million.
**Requirements**
* Proven experience in supply chain management, particularly in securing favourable pricing and managing stock levels.
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and a strong understanding of stock management practices; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
* Strong MS Excel skills.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Willingness to engage in continuous improvement and personal development.
