Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated maintenance technician for a prominent manufacturing organization specializing in customized products for the construction sector. This role involves working on a rotating early and late shift schedule, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support site teams in diagnosing faults and addressing any breakdowns in production machinery, including automation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with a focus on continuous improvement through preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Complete necessary documentation such as permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements for all maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in electrical and mechanical engineering, along with experience in a manufacturing setting. A solid understanding of automation, PLCs, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting is essential.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and optimization of preventative/planned maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £43,525 for a standard 37.5-hour workweek, along with an annual performance-related bonus, a comprehensive pension scheme, and death-in-service benefits. Employees enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional holiday entitlement accruing with service.
