Lead Architectural Designer

Role Purpose

To plan and manage the development and coordination of project designs, ensuring a robust and proactive design service that meets company and customer expectations while adhering to contractual obligations. This role involves providing creative architectural solutions and design services as required by the business, along with offering in-house design advice and bid support across various projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review design resources and workload, effectively managing team assignments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Continuously strive to enhance the design function, aiming for excellence and innovation within ISG.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and project management teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the project team, client representatives, consultants, and appointed sub-contractors.
  • Manage the design relationship between the company, customer, design consultants, subcontractors, and statutory bodies, serving as the primary point of contact for all design matters.
  • Develop the design program and information flow, ensuring seamless integration with the overall project schedule. Create RFIs for necessary information.
  • Regularly review project design inputs, processes, and outputs to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Implement corrective actions as needed and ensure due diligence is conducted properly.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for space planning and detailing.
  • Proven experience in retail or office project design, including client interaction.
  • Self-motivated and dynamic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of both 2D and 3D design. Experience in creating client-ready design presentations.
  • Demonstrated competency as a design lead.
