Job Summary
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Minor Injuries Unit. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and discharging patients aged over 1 year, and referring to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage minor injury presentations autonomously and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse with a post-registration qualification in the management of minor injuries.
- Sufficient emergency care or MIU experience.
- Desirable: completion of advanced clinical assessment or Independent Prescribing.
