Job Title: Senior Project Accountant

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering all core project accounting deliverables for a major element of the Dreadnought Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver robust forecasts into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) process
  • Support the project teams to ensure financial commitments are met
  • Produce quarterly Contract Status Reports, reflecting an accurate financial representation of the programme
  • Manage a team of 2 to 3 Project Accountants, ensuring their continued development
  • Provide support from a financial perspective for contract management, negotiations, and amendments
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or relevant equivalent
  • Accounting and financial management experience, working in a variety of roles including working within a project finance environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Financial IT Systems including SAP and MS Excel
