Adult Learning Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care and support to adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

About the Role

As an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized support to adults with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Encouraging and supporting individuals to participate in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Monitoring and recording individual progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
Requirements

To be successful as an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working in a social care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • UK driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable)
