Children's Home Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team at Siamo Recruitment. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the home in line with the Care Standards Act, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide support to young people with life skills and education, promoting their emotional and mental well-being.
- Take the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements, driving continuous improvement.
- Protect young people from risks to their health, welfare, and development, both within and outside the home.
- Provide effective leadership and team development, ensuring staff are equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Liaise with inter-agencies, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Oversee staff training and qualifications, ensuring they meet the needs of the home and its residents.
- Manage the home's expenditure and petty cash, ensuring financial stability and transparency.
- Ensure a safe environment, conducting regular property checks in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Be aware of safeguarding at all times, taking proactive steps to prevent harm.
- Participate in the on-call rota when necessary, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of the home and its residents.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care Services or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the children's residential home sector.
- Minimum of 2 years' children's home management experience.
- Experience of working with complex and emotional behavioral needs in young people.
- Understanding of the current Ofsted inspection framework.
- Knowledge of current governing legislation and procedures for caring for children.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
