About the Role

We are seeking a permanent Lawyer to join our Ashurst Advance team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will support the growing demand for delivery of managed services and integrated solutions to our capital markets clients, particularly tradeflow work. The role will involve collaboration with legal analysts and practising lawyers to enhance the diversity of skills and experience we can offer clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive quality and elevate experience of the legal analyst team
  • Act as a bridge to the Global Markets team, providing services such as maintenance of structured products and repack programmes, drafting and execution of structured products and repack tradeflow documents, and co-ordination and review of multi-jurisdictional legal opinions and cross border advice
  • Manage matters assigned to you, liaising closely with colleagues, clients, counterparties, and other advisers

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in international finance transactions, ideally with a top international law firm or equivalent in-house experience
  • Experience of derivatives, structured products, and/or securitisation, or general capital markets or finance experience
  • Experience of cross-border work, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements
  • Adaptable person with excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and experience in transaction management
