About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our team at Manpower RPO - Babcock. As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of the United Kingdom by maintaining the submarine service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Submarine Lead in generating and maintaining through-life maintenance plans, which optimize work package efficiency and submarine availability.
- Provide support to submarine programme changes and what-if scenarios, balancing maintenance against an ever-challenging programme to ensure safe, capable, and available submarines.
- Use the new asset management tool to provide a holistic view and approach to managing maintenance requirements through life.
- Work closely with relevant Subject Matter Experts across Babcock, the Royal Navy, MoD, and Industry Partners.
- Involvement in the development of the new through-life boat plan application with the rest of the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience or understanding of maintenance requirements and planning.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to produce technical reports and recommendations.
- Willingness to work toward continuous professional development.
- Strong IT skills and experience in analyzing data through Excel or similar computer programs.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering-based discipline or HNC/HND or demonstrable relevant experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
