Senior Town Planner - Preston (Hybrid Working)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and well-established consultancy, renowned for its outstanding reputation in the planning industry. They are seeking a talented Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic team in their Preston office.

Location: Preston
Salary: Competitive (with excellent starting salary)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working (split between office and remote)

The Role:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects, working with both public and private sector clients. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice, managing planning applications, and leading on projects that contribute to sustainable development in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver a variety of planning applications and projects.
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients on development proposals.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Keep up to date with planning policy and legislative changes.

Key Requirements:

  • RTPI membership (or working towards it)
  • Proven experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
