Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team at Cedar Grange. As a key member of our catering team, you will work closely with the Chef Manager to prepare a varied set of quality menus for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards of food hygiene and safety
  • Assisting with menu planning and food preparation
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors

Key Responsibilities

As a Culinary Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Assisting with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment and utensils
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors, including responding to their dietary needs and preferences

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a catering environment, preferably in a care setting
  • A valid food hygiene certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for providing high-quality food and excellent customer service
