Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Struan Lodge Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent care and support.
- Administer medication as instructed and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and respond to residents' wellbeing, reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a care setting, preferably with older adults and those living with dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.50-£13.00 (DOE).
- A 42-hour contract with paid breaks.
- Pension scheme.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract).
- PVG scheme.
- Onsite parking.
