Job Introduction
We're currently seeking an experienced Store Operator to join our team in Hinckley, Leicestershire. As a Store Operator, you'll be responsible for carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of tools and PPE, as well as assisting with the maintenance of stores and inspecting network assets as required.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out routine inspections and maintenance of tools and PPE
- Assisting with the maintenance of stores and inspecting network assets as required
- Working under own initiative in a safety-critical environment
- Being mobile throughout the area and potentially undertaking out-of-hours standby duties as necessary
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and able to work under their own initiative. Ideally, you'll have a license to drive a LGV up to category C and be trained to drive a Fork Lift Truck. You'll also need to be able to work in a safety-critical environment and be willing to undertake out-of-hours standby duties as necessary.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you'll need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects. You'll also need to be able to provide evidence of your qualifications prior to appointment.
Working Environment
The working environment requires quick, decisive, and responsible thinking and actions to meet the demands of the role. You'll need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
