Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team at Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwich. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Cash Flow Management: Handle monthly payroll, weekly cash flow analysis, and reporting.
  • Inventory Management: Report on inventory levels, slow-moving stock, and monthly gross margins.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the purchase ledger function, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Prepare bonus and commission reports and oversee intercompany transactions.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Maintain sub-ledgers, bank reconciliations, and record income from various regional bodies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or similar level of qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in a similar role within finance, preferably in a management accounting position.
  • Skills: Proficiency in preparing monthly management accounts, handling payroll, and using finance software and systems relevant to the role.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with non-finance team members.
  • Leadership: Experience in supervising and assisting finance team members.
