Role Overview

Position: Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Objective: To deliver psychiatric guidance to the Neurodevelopmental/Learning Disabilities (ND/LD) Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including initial psychiatric assessments, risk assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Initiate and oversee pharmacological interventions as part of the treatment process.
  • Collaborate with the ND Team's multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure thorough assessment, diagnosis, and management strategies, adhering to the CAMHS care pathways and clinical frameworks.
  • Provide psychiatric consultations to the ND Team MDT and the broader CAMHS team as necessary.
  • Engage with NHS England, Commissioners, and Tier 4 services when referrals to Tier 4 are warranted.
  • Participate in Tier 4 service coordination and contribute to CRAFT and CPA meetings.
Qualifications
