About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Video Editor to join our team at BearJam Productions. As a key member of our video production company, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality video content for a range of purposes and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit high-quality video content for branded content, social media content, and brand films
  • Manage project editing elements, including communication, planning, and proactive management of challenges
  • Evaluate new AI tools and implement them to streamline post-production processes
  • Collaborate with the wider team, including creatives, producers, clients, and directors
  • Receive and execute feedback from clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to original ideas and develop concepts
  • Create standout content for social media and website case studies
  • Sit in on and contribute to client calls when required
  • Perform basic colour grading and delegate work to junior members of the team
  • Oversee and QC junior editor's project work
  • Select and edit sound effects and assets for delivery
  • Adapt and roll out campaign assets across multiple social media and broadcast formats
  • Download, upload, log, and maintain AV assets via Synology
  • Packaging and delivering projects
Requirements
  • High levels of initiative, desire, and ability to work autonomously
  • Natural organisational ability and aptitude to multitask
  • Able to work effectively with a variety of people and personalities
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and effective
  • Strong creative eye and passion for editing and delivering powerful video content
  • 3+ years of experience in video content editing
  • Previous experience managing is preferred but not essential
  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistent, positive, can-do attitude and ability to set and communicate clear expectations
  • Proven track record of success editing complex video projects
  • A portfolio showcasing previous work and demonstrating proficiency in video editing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent skills and experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Confident using Mac hardware and software
  • Knowledge and experience in using the Adobe Suite to create simple 2D graphic assets
  • Understanding of sound/audio editing
  • Understanding and ability to colour grade
  • General multimedia skills such as video conversion
  • Confident in online editing and delivering to client specs
  • Working knowledge of film production, digital media, or a related field
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for video content distribution
