Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and ambitious lawyer to work on a variety of commercial contracts, financial services regulatory projects, and general commercial legal matters. As a Commercial Legal Counsel, you will be an integral part of our team, engaging in strategic high-level issues and building strong relationships with business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts, including contracts for the sale of goods and services, licensing agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on financial services regulatory matters, including anti-money laundering, know-your-customer, and consumer protection regulations.
  • Work on general commercial legal matters, including company law, employment law, and intellectual property law.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business units to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, corporate law, or financial services regulation.
  • Experience working with fintechs, banks, or similar financial services companies is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to handle a wide range of legal areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
