Key Responsibilities- Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, focusing on joinery, glazed partitions, drylining, and structural glazing.
- Analyze Project Requirements: Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to identify scope, requirements, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Source and Evaluate Suppliers: Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors, obtaining competitive quotations.
- Collaborate with Project Teams: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure all estimates are aligned with project requirements and budgets.
- Present Cost Estimates: Present cost estimates and pricing strategies to senior management, ensuring they reflect the current market conditions and company objectives.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Standards: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and construction methods related to interior fit-out packages.
- Track Project Costs: Track project costs, monitor progress against estimates, and prepare reports for management review.
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as an estimator in the construction or fit-out industry, with a strong focus on joinery, glazed partitions, drylining, and structural glazing.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards specific to interior fit-out projects.
- Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field (preferred).
