Job Summary

Chelsea Medical Services is seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist / Administrator to join our team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointments and schedules
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Open and close the medical office
  • Process and file electronic and paper documents
  • Process repeat prescriptions and register new patients
  • Assist with meeting quality and outcomes targets
  • Type letters and reports as needed
  • Process and follow up on referrals and electronic requests
  • Provide blood test forms and collect payments for non-NHS services
  • Pull and file patient records
  • Book transportation and process home visit requests
  • Deal with general inquiries and complaints
  • Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to the next shift
  • Respond to the needs of doctors and nurses during surgery
  • Input and extract information from the practice computer system
  • Observe health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Perform general housekeeping duties

Requirements

  • Experience working in a GP practice or similar environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a good telephone manner
  • Good IT skills
