Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a Staff Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with IBD.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with IBD, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary IBD team to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and care coordination.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in IBD nursing practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to IBD care.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
