Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and proactive Safety and Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee health and safety protocols throughout the organization, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained while addressing all safety-related issues across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management standards.
• Conduct regular internal audits and site inspections to verify adherence to safety regulations.
Risk Management:
• Create and review risk assessments, ensuring they are current and comprehensive.
• Provide expert advice to senior management on all health and safety concerns.
• Identify potential hazards and implement effective solutions to minimize the risk of incidents.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with various stakeholders on improvement initiatives and take ownership of project outcomes.
• Lead the Health and Safety Committee, organizing regular meetings to ensure that actions are aligned with risk levels and are executed promptly.
Training and Development:
• Assess health and safety competency needs, identify skill gaps, and coordinate with the Learning and Development Coordinator to arrange necessary training.
Data Management:
• Serve as the custodian of the Health & Safety Portal, ensuring that all information is accurate and well-maintained, including mandatory checks, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments, and DSE Assessments.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing health and safety in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution setting.
• Familiarity with workplace transport equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet trucks, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).
• Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma.
Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 (1-hour lunch break)
