As a Senior VAT Analyst at Jaguar Land Rover, you will play a critical role in supporting and supervising an offshore team dedicated to VAT reporting, refund claims, and accounting processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring high accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate VAT returns produced by the offshore team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Address supplier, business, and customer VAT queries, providing expert guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the VAT advisory team to monitor industry policy, Tax Authority policy, and legislative VAT developments, communicating relevant changes to the VAT compliance team and the wider business.
- Support the implementation of VAT process changes resulting from business or systems changes, assessing VAT impact, compliance requirements, financial implications, and contract reviews.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting systems, with a strong understanding of VAT principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement process improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
