Your Role:
  • As a JavaScript Software Engineer, you will work alongside an international team to design and implement frontend applications based on JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and domain experts in meteorology, hydrology, water quality, and aquatic ecology.
  • Assume technical ownership of the entire lifecycle of the components you create, from initial development to integration into production environments.
  • Lead the charge in developing innovative applications using modern software development practices.
Your Profile:
  • A degree in computer science, a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification.
  • Strong expertise in building responsive web applications, particularly with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST/JSON, and WebComponents. Familiarity with frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of web servers, web security, caching, proxies, NodeJS, and GIT. Experience with tools such as VS Code, Confluence, Jira, and programming languages like Java or Python is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, along with SQL/noSQL databases, is beneficial.
  • Your creativity and eagerness to learn enable you to quickly grasp and apply new concepts.
  • Familiarity with meteorology, hydrology, or water management is a plus.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
