About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at TRADEBE. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of plant and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  3. Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  4. Collaborate with the Plant Manager to prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources effectively.
  5. Provide training and guidance to plant operators on routine maintenance duties and ensure they are equipped to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
  6. Identify and report any health and safety risks or breaches and take corrective action to mitigate them.
  7. Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements and environmental initiatives.
  8. Contribute to the development of maintenance budgets and resource plans.

Requirements:

  1. Recognized mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  2. Welding skills and experience with permit-to-work systems.
  3. Computer literacy and experience with PPM maintenance systems.
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience working in a similar role in a continuous processing environment.
  6. Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
