English Graduate Cover Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic English Graduate to join our team as a Cover Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is aspiring to become a teacher and wants to gain classroom experience before undertaking their teacher training.

As an English Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lessons and supporting students' learning while maintaining the school's high standards of behaviour. You will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the behaviour of the class to ensure students are working in a constructive learning environment.
  • Supervise the work set by the subject teacher.
  • Act as a role model and develop productive working relationships with students.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and health and safety of the students.
Requirements:
  • Degree in English.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students in their learning.
