About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to join our team at Thompsons Solicitors. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing a caseload of pre-litigated cases, primarily focused on personal injury claims for our union members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial assessment of cases to determine merits and potential outcomes
  • Obtaining evidence in support of liability, including from witnesses and pre-action disclosure
  • Assessing the value of claims and making decisions on disclosure
  • Attending clients, witnesses, experts, and defendants as necessary
  • Working efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and client-focused skills
  • Knowledge of personal injury law and familiarity with Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules, and funding procedures
  • Understanding of case management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
