The Role
We are seeking a skilled Sub Agent to join our team at Heathrow Airport. As a Sub Agent, you will assist the Agent in all civil engineering operations, ensuring Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including method statements, risk assessments, and briefings.
- Support the Agent in operating the cost management system and producing programmes.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor site engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and record generation.
- Communicate with commercial staff to prepare records for measurement and payment purposes.
- Liaise with the Agent to allocate labour, plant, materials, and temporary work design schemes.
- Advise the Agent of potential commercial or contractual liabilities.
- Manage the ordering process and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure delivery of the required service and compliance with company policies.
- Promote company values in all dealings with employees, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.
- Prepare and deliver daily activity briefings and maintain a diary with relevant information.
Key Skills and Experience
- Successful experience at section engineering level, including civil and services.
- Demonstrated application of growing commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment.
- Good people management experience.
- Experience in managing subcontractors.
- CSCS card.
- Flexibility.
Desirable Skills
- Airport experience or critical areas experience.
- Experience of working in an international organization.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent.
