We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Care Dentist to join our team at Chippenham Dental Access Centre. As a Band B Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients with additional needs, working in a variety of settings including domiciliary care and acute hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of clinical dental care for people with additional needs, including treatment under general anaesthesia and sedation.
- Promote and maintain patients' oral health within NHS regulations.
- Provide clinical leadership for the local dental team and work with the wider clinical team to deliver high-quality dental care.
- Meet personal performance targets for clinical activity and management tasks.
- Provide line management for Band A dental officers and perform line management duties for direct reports.
We are looking for a dentist with:
- BDS or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification.
- Full registration with the GDC.
- VT Number or equivalent.
- Commitment to CPD.
- Experience of providing routine dental care and working within Special Care Dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
