Job Title: Primary School HLTA

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Primary School in the Wisbech area. The position is a long-term, full-time role, commencing within the next two weeks.

About the Role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to teachers and pupils in the classroom, as well as carrying out tasks of a higher level such as classroom teaching and PPA cover, 1:1 support, and small group focus work. You will also be required to support pupils with SEN in order to help them achieve their goals and work to the best of their ability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to teachers and pupils in the classroom
  • Carry out tasks of a higher level such as classroom teaching and PPA cover
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group focus work
  • Support pupils with SEN
  • Be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with HLTA status, strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum, and high-level classroom/pupil management skills. You should also be able to provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH and be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers. Transport to and from the school is also required.
