Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours of Work: 12 hours per week (school holidays only)

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 13-year-old young person with autism. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team at Disability North.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the young person on outings and activities, promoting social interaction and independence
  • Support the young person with communication and daily living tasks
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the young person, their family, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the young person's needs are met and their goals are achieved

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or similar disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
