Role Summary:

The charity is in search of a proactive and knowledgeable Care Quality Assurance Partner to establish systems and processes that guarantee adherence to regulatory and contractual standards. This position is crucial as the charity aims to progress beyond mere compliance to assurance, fulfilling strategic objectives and realizing its vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability:

  • Ensure that care and support services comply with legislation, best practices, and regulatory and commissioning standards.
  • Assist the Head of Quality and Assurance in creating a continuous quality improvement framework.
  • Oversee the activities of the Quality Improvement Manager team.
  • Evaluate contractual commitments for business expansion in new local authority regions.
  • Monitor and assess governance frameworks and validation processes.
  • Develop systems and processes that empower registered managers to oversee quality and compliance.
  • Compile management data and information related to safeguarding, medication safety, significant incidents, and compliance.
  • Manage communication with regulatory bodies regarding notifications, performance improvement reviews, and remote monitoring.
  • Plan and execute thematic reviews and audit initiatives.
  • Support registered managers during inspections or quality assessments.
  • Conduct annual surveys of individuals supported, staff, and health/social care professionals.
  • Provide current best practice guidance within the Health and Social Care sector.

Commitment:

  • Remain informed about best practices and legislation pertinent to regulatory and local authority standards.

Communication:

  • Influence and establish credibility with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
  • Offer expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team, and the Board of Trustees.
  • Develop and present reports and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively, addressing the individual needs of colleagues and those supported by the charity.

Decision-Making:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and support to Registered Managers, Business Partners, and the leadership team.
  • Demonstrate respect for colleagues by embodying the charity's values in practice.

Collaboration:

  • Work alongside teams across the charity to support managers and colleagues.

Success Metrics:

  • Implementation of a continuous quality improvement cycle that integrates quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Ensure registered managers are knowledgeable, trained, and compliant with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Early identification and effective management of quality issues.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of the charity's strategic plan.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Thorough understanding of regulatory and contractual frameworks in care and support.
  • Senior-level experience in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various locations.
