Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of project information, including cost performance reporting and Earned Value Management metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs.
- Establish and set project control budgets aligned with agreed baselines.
- Track and control actual costs against cost control structures, including internal and external expenditure.
- Monitor and control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints.
- Build project forecasts, including estimated work to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC).
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of all project information, including Earned Value Management metrics.
- Track and control project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project.
- Monitor and track project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures.
- Identify and track key project trends to inform future change controls.
Requirements
Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with five to ten years of experience in delivering project controls services for major projects or programmes.
Delivered cost engineering across a range of major projects, preferably across multiple sectors and internationally.
Experience in working to cost engineering procedures and processes, and the ability to define project cost procedures and standards.
Highly conversant with cost management systems, including Prism and Ecosys, and the ability to interface with corporate finance systems such as SAP and Oracle.
A strong understanding of business rules and how project funding and performance aligns with business financial account requirements.
