We are seeking highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team at Automation Experts. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment for our clients in the power generation sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and manage engineering projects to ensure delivery of technically compliant designs through to manufacture.
- Produce and verify fit-for-purpose design and calculations.
- Manage project design teams for senior engineers.
- Supervise, verify, and produce design deliverables.
- Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines.
- Implement UK H&S legislation and design standards.
- Identify and include bought-out plant and equipment.
- Present and participate in HAZOP and design reviews.
- Liaise with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning personnel to ensure defined optimisation.
- HNC qualified with proven experience of front-end design.
- Previous experience of concept design of special-purpose, mechanical handling, robot automation, or assembly lines will be highly advantageous using Inventor or another 3D design package.
Please note that due to the nature of projects, we can only accept applications from engineers who hold a British Passport or are eligible to obtain one.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The office is located in the North West, and the role is commutable from Warrington, Widnes, Irlam, Altrincham, and Leigh.
