Gi Group Professionals is collaborating with a prominent European provider of adaptable plastic and laminate packaging solutions.

We are seeking a maintenance technician with a focus on mechanical systems. Candidates with an HNC qualification are preferred. While experience in a manufacturing setting is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement.


Our client serves a diverse range of blue-chip customers in both consumer and industrial sectors, supplying well-known international brands directly and through merchants.

The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art blown film extrusion technology and advanced flexographic printing systems (up to 10 colours).


Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures while promoting preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Perform mechanical repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with process and facility equipment and systems.
- Ensure completion of all preventative maintenance and work orders.
- Communicate effectively with relevant departments regarding maintenance and associated matters.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in reactive and preventative maintenance with a mechanical focus.
- Background in manufacturing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Familiarity with plastic manufacturing processes.
