Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our team at Aspion Search. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating prices, and exploring new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Visit new leads and existing customers to develop strong and lasting relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Purchasing and Negotiation: Purchase non-ferrous materials, with a focus on titanium and aluminium, from large manufacturers, negotiating the best prices and ensuring high-quality supply.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with current suppliers, exploring new business opportunities and ensuring a steady supply of high-quality materials.
  • Buying Process Management: Manage the full buying process, from initial contact to delivery, ensuring seamless transactions and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel and Overnight Stays: Overnight stays may be required to attend to business needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the scrap metal industry, specifically dealing with non-ferrous materials.
  • Buying Experience: Experience buying from manufacturers (preferably) or scrap merchants.
  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Technical Skills: Good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
