Patient Advisor

About the Role

Taurus Healthcare Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Advisor to join our Front of House team. As a Patient Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and greet patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
• Effectively signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service, ensuring that they receive the right care at the right time.
• Process outgoing communication to patients, including letters and texts.
• Conduct ID checks for new patient registrations and process payments for private services.
• Manage incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with caller requests as necessary.
• Initiate contact with patients, team members, and external agencies by phone, email, and text.
• Enter temporary registrations and relevant patient information into the patient's healthcare records.
• Support clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
• Participate in practice audit and support Care Navigation staff as needed.

Requirements

• Experience of working with the general public.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly telephone.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office and Outlook.
• Effective time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow policy and procedure.
