Job Title: Electrical Engineer Commissioning and Maintenance

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Commissioning and Maintenance to join our team at KP Snacks in Ashby. As a key member of our Engineering function, you will provide a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service to safely sustain and improve production operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with production requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance records, including PPM schedules and data entry records.
  • Act as host for contractors working on site, ensuring safe working practices and necessary documentation.
  • Respond to requests from production and maintenance leads for engineering assistance and monitor visual management boards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve their knowledge and capability of equipment.
  • Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and food quality management systems, ensuring compliance with retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Contribute to food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally with multi-skilled qualifications.
