Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Components Engineer to join our team at RENISHAW PLC. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software components for our MODUS and other products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software components using C++ and other relevant technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
  • Lead a small team of Software Engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain software testing frameworks to ensure high-quality products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on C++ and software engineering practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git).
  • Knowledge of graphics and CAD would be desirable.
