We are expanding our steam turbine and compressor business within mainland UK and seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. You will play a vital role in driving our growth strategy by overseeing all aspects of projects related to the inspection, service, repair, overhaul, and retrofitting of customer steam turbines and compressors.
Your Responsibilities- Effectively allocate resources to conduct equipment assessments and support ongoing projects.
- Analyze customer requirements and ensure tenders meet service/product specifications and pricing expectations.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to prepare comprehensive tenders, incorporating input from the Project Estimator.
- Guarantee that tenders adhere to company guidelines and receive necessary approvals.
- Work closely with legal and commercial teams to manage risk through appropriate Terms & Conditions.
- Plan, brief, and mobilize personnel, tooling, and sub-vendors to support equipment inspection, repair, and recommissioning activities.
- Oversee project timelines, profitability, and financial management, including invoicing and payments.
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to mitigate risk and enhance future opportunities.
- A background in engineering is preferred; however, candidates with extensive experience managing complex projects related to steam turbines and/or multistage compression equipment will be considered.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation within a commercial environment.
- Experience in supplier/customer management.
- Willingness to travel.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong influencing and persuasion abilities.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Sound commercial acumen.
