Education and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • NMC registration
  • Level 6 post-registration qualifications in the specialty or a relevant field
  • Completion of a communication skills course
  • Proven experience in teaching

Desirable Criteria

  • Advanced Communication Skills training
  • Level 2 Psychology training
  • Qualification in non-medical prescribing or a willingness to pursue this

Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Significant post-registration experience in a palliative care environment
  • Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and delivering expert care under supervision
  • Proven ability to support organizational change
  • Experience in educational roles
  • Awareness of current nursing and palliative care initiatives, including End of Life Care

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in leadership and management roles
  • Involvement in audit and service enhancement initiatives

Skills, Abilities, and Attributes
