Job Title: Interim Policy, Public Affairs and Advocacy Manager

Job Type: Temporary, 2-3 months

Salary: £200-£300 per day

About the Role:

The Maine Group is seeking an experienced Interim Policy, Public Affairs and Advocacy Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our Public Affairs team, you will be responsible for delivering direct advocacy to Prospective Parliamentary Candidates, providing analysis of election results, and preparing advocacy asks and messaging for the next government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct advocacy to Prospective Parliamentary Candidates using our organisation's manifesto where appropriate.
  • Provide analysis of election results and prepare 'welcome / introduction to the charity' materials for new Government and incoming ministers.
  • Prepare advocacy asks and messaging for the next government, including 'first 100 days in government.'
  • Map out immediate actions required re. APPG.
  • Provide main advocacy and election point of contact for the organisation, responding to organisational queries, including updates for commercial partners where needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good parliamentary advocacy experience and a strong understanding of what is needed in the run-up to an election. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
