About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at Claranet Limited. As a key member of our Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will play a critical role in protecting our organisation and enhancing security operations to mitigate risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead incident response efforts, monitoring security events, analysing logs and data for threats, and providing proactive threat intelligence.
  • Manage security tools, mentor shift leads, prepare comprehensive incident reports, conduct security assessments, coordinate incident handling, promote security awareness, and drive continuous improvement within the SOC.
  • Collaborate with other SOC analysts, the Shift Lead, Senior SOC Analysts, and the SOC Team Lead on delegated tasks, including mentorship, rule tuning, threat hunting, reports, and service improvements.
  • Conduct incident triage on new tickets in line with established triage SLAs, raise incidents to customers as appropriate, and escalate incidents to a Level 1 SOC Analyst or Shift Lead as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge.
  • 1-3 years' experience as a Security/Network Administrator or equivalent knowledge.
  • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, technical security solutions, and network analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of commonly used Internet protocols, incident response, intrusion detection and prevention systems, threat intelligence, malware analysis, vulnerability management, endpoint security, secure network architecture, threat hunting, and cloud security.
  • Cyber Security Training Certifications, experience of ticketing systems, and understanding of performing 1st level analysis and interpretation of information from SOC systems are highly desirable.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanour, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively, with a strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.

Candidate must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
