Support Worker for Children with Special Needs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team and provide exceptional care to a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting her daily needs, participating in therapy programs, and engaging in community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with therapy programs and activities to promote the client's physical and emotional well-being
  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks
  • Participate in community activities and outings to enhance the client's social and recreational experiences
  • Collaborate with the client's parents and other care professionals to ensure seamless care and support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on the client's progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Full, clean driving license and use of own vehicle for work-related travel
  • Experience working with children with special needs and cerebral palsy
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care

Working Hours:

Term Time: Monday to Friday 7am-9am, Monday to Friday 3pm-9pm, Saturday 11:30am-6pm

School Holidays: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 11:30am-6pm

Pay Rates:

£17.00/hour Monday to Friday for daytime shifts, £19.00/hour Saturday & Sunday for daytime shifts
