Job Overview:
Glu Recruit is on the lookout for a seasoned paraplanner dedicated to advancing their career.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in pensions and retirement planning, focusing on assisting individuals in achieving a secure and comfortable retirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial research and analysis utilizing tools such as Selectapension and FE Analytics
- Create detailed financial reports using Genovo report writing software
- Verify and review information provided by administrative staff for accuracy
- Collaborate with the administrative team to obtain missing information and support business submissions as needed
- Employ the Intelliflo back office system for client management and record maintenance
- Analyze and recommend various investment options, including ISAs and general investment accounts
- Question advisers on file notes or recommendations that may be inappropriate
- Communicate with the compliance team regarding any concerns related to advice suitability
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a paraplanner within the financial services sector, particularly in pensions and retirement planning
- Comprehensive understanding of UK pension regulations and products
- Proficient in using Intelliflo, Selectapension, FE Analytics, and Genovo software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
- Familiarity with compliance standards in financial services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant financial planning certifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) – experience is prioritized, and examination materials and initial exams will be funded.
